The Latest GTA: The Ballad of Gay Tony is now out for Xbox 360, available for Xbox Live download or purchase in store with Episodes from Liberty City which includes both episodes. It has not been announced for PS3 or PC.
Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is out now for the PSP. It has been out for the DS much longer. It is coming soon to the iPhone and iPod Touch.
"Given the strength of GTA IV in 2008, the question may seem misplaced, but our concern is that the very highly-rated new GTA content for Xbox as well as PSP and DS did not perform up to expectations in 2009," he said.
"Now, we very clearly understand that these do not represent 'true' new GTA titles. However, the fact is that these were compelling titles, attractively priced, and reasonably well-promoted, yet they fell relatively flat."
"We do not mean to pour salt on an open wound, but this does raise questions about the strength of packs for [Rockstar parent company] Take Two Entertainment's crown jewel. It is an issue we will monitor closely. We also note that we expect increased competition in the open-world action genre in 2010 and beyond."
Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter had a slightly different take:
"GTA IV was at least a 50 hour game, in contrast to the typical Call Of Duty which is a six to ten hour game. Almost anyone who bought COD finished it, and if they liked it they were interested in DLC," he said.
"On the other hand, my guess is that fewer than 20% of GTA owners finished the game so fewer were interested in DLC. I think that is a fair assessment, and don't think that the slow pace of DLC sales reflects poor performance for the franchise."
One thing no one should ever do is doubt the developers at Rockstar Games. They will keep making the series interesting. They have the skills, the motivation and the confidence to do so. They also have an amazing track record. Head over to DigitalSpy.com for more!
The golf club is a mod on the PC version of the game. It makes you wonder if a writer on the show plays the PC version of the game a lot or if they bought the game on PC just for this bit.

I was playing the mission where you get the parachute on The Ballad of Gay Tony and I was wondering what you thought of the death scene? It was very gruesome for sure!
- Will
If you're talking about the mission called "High Dive," I know exactly what you're referring to. Exhibit A:
Luis doesn't like this guy. He isn't going to pity him either. Does Luis take him by the hand and carefully guide him back down to the ground like a gentleman, or does he get him there the fast way? Exhibit B:
Things didn't turn out so well for him. It may have been the most gruesome death in any GTA game thus far, though there likely has been far worse things done to certain characters that this late night doesn't bring to mind. Very cool scene.

I love the Buzzard and the Sky Hook is cool to look at but what is another aerial vehicle in the new game? I really want to know so I can fly over the city without weapons and just tour it like fun.
- Sam
The Swift helicopter is exactly what you need if you want to tour the city. However, it's only available in a few places. The mission called "Blog This!" allows you to ride in the helicopter with Tony and the Celebinator, but one of the only known missions where you can actually fly it is a night club management task. After going through several out-of-the-club missions for night club management, you'll come upon one that has you get in a Swift helicopter on the west side of Algonquin.
Be sure to try out the Swift for yourself. Go through the most of the night club management and you'll eventually get the mission!

Henrique will bring you a nice Serrano with modifications if you call him. It worked and i tried it.
- hufnagler
Thanks for the e-mail. There are two types of Serrano vehicles in the game. One is a normal one and the other has had a lot of work done on it. Check out the modded one below:
If you call Henrique on the phone and request a Serrano, chances are slim that he will bring you the one that is modded. The majority of the time he will bring you a regular Serrano. However, keep calling and he will eventually deliver one!

I was playin the mission with the golf course and is there a way to get the golf cart with the cage? I want to keep it in my parking space. I like it a lot it would be good because cops cant open it and the doors are strong.
- oledannyboy
The Caddy with the cage is only seen in the mission called "Practice Swing." It is not unlocked. Killing Rocco during the mission does not allow access to the Caddy. If anyone with enough time and patience wants to try killing Rocco and then pushing the Caddy with a bus into a parking space, that might work. It's possible that the game would fade out and fade back up and not allow you to do this. If it doesn't fade out, try the method and then save and then see if it is accessible. It's a long shot.
The normal Caddy is available in the mission "Practice Swing" and also is parked in Free Mode right next to the golf course in Algonquin. The Caddy is not available at any other time in single player, and despite several rumors that it can be found in the putting area on Firefly Island, it is not there.

I have a PS3 so I can't play it but I wanna know what's one of the interesting side missions in the game that no one really talks about? Thanks.
- Arnold1692
There are a few interesting missions involved with night club management that don't seem to be getting much attention on forums across the internet. One of them involves you getting a few celebrities away from a group of girls.
Two trucks pull up and you have to get around them without hurting the girls. It makes for an interesting mission and for something that's definitely out of the ordinary. It reminded me a bit of the mission with the riot near the beginning of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

Poster Mystery Solved for EFLC Manual Page?[ 2 Comments ] 7:03 PST | Jordan | Print News | Category: Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay TonyIn what has become a great little bit of fun for both the fans and the developers at Rockstar Games, it seems the mystery of the manual page for Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City has been solved. GameSpot posted a new column showing where that little image crease in the bottom right of the posted actually comes from. Apparently the image was originally in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. A forum user named Gunner from modmywhat.commade a nice animated .gif file overlaying the two. Click the static image below to see it:
"The suggestive poster uses a volcano surrounded by two tree-covered hills to advertise an erectile dysfunction drug. It was apparently on the wall of a porno shop in the game, or possibly the adult movie studio InterGlobal Films." - GameSpot
What does it mean? Is it now official that the next game will be Vice City? No. However, it's the strongest evidence we've seen yet in terms of fans wanting to know where the next game will take place. Thanks to Adriaan for the tip.
Update: After investigating in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City myself and checking every interior, GameSpot was wrong. The poster does not appear anywhere in Vice City. The poster appears in two sex shops in GTA IV. The sex shops are located in Hove Beach and in Star Junction. Posters appear on the walls and the Mollis name is also up at the counter.

Look Jordan my mom does all the chores in the house can you please show me how to install the mods cause I can't get the original GTA San Andreas and GTA Vice City
- Devaugh
Mod installations slightly differ for GTA: Vice City and GTA: San Andreas. Try the trusty IMG Tool 1.3 to see if that helps you out. It's also good to read any text files included with the mod packages you download.
Hey jordan. I was wondering if there's any way to customize the clothing in BoGT. Like to wear the "fighting shirt" from cage fight in the rest of the game. Or as seen in the trailers, wear jeans and the bodyguard suit. Thanx.
- Jay
Luis has a closet in his safe house that is located next to his bed. Several outfits are already stocked in his closet when you start the game. If any fans can shed light on whether or not the specific outfits Jay mentioned are available, please do so in the comments!
Hey Jordan, I'm wondering I'm more of a pc gamer myself, but i own ps3 for mgs4 and blu ray basically but really am not a fan of console and it bothers me rockstar sold out to M$. I have gta4 on pc after owning it on ps3 but i have a nice comp now 28 inch monitor quad core nice vid card etc etc. I'm wondering am i missing a whole lot in the gta4 story if i don't play lost and damned or ballad of gay tony? Thanks! take it easy.
- Jordan Clevenger
In my opinion, you are missing the best Grand Theft Auto game since 2004's GTA: San Andreas if you don't ever play The Ballad of Gay Tony. It is truly an amazingly fun game that has a different feel than the original GTA IV game. If you want to get a question answered,e-mail me!

I can't seem to land on the truck target when base jumping. I've tried about 15 times but every time I turn too much at the last second and land to the side. Have you found any techniques that work with consistency?
- Lightman52
Several base jumps in GTA: The Ballad of Gay Tony involve landing on a flatbed truck. Here are a few things to remember when doing one of these particular base jumps:
1. If you are about to miss the bed of the truck, remember you can land on any part of the truck to pass and not fail. This includes the front of the truck. You'll probably only get a score of 10% for bad accuracy.
2. Line up with the path of the road where the truck is traveling way before you even think about landing.
3. Turning with the stick is ok, but also try turning with Left Trigger and Right Trigger to see if that gets you where you need to be.
4. If you think you are going to overshoot your target and not land properly, hold up on the stick to fall faster.
5. If you are still having issues, try adjusting the height from the ground when you actually open your parachute. This will change your technique and might show ways of working easier.
Keep practicing and you'll get all of the base jumps with ease!

For the friend missions in Gay Tony, I was wondering how many people there are and missions there are for this?
- Harihara
There are only five missions for the "friends"...a.k.a. random characters...and three friends. Daisy has one mission, Arnaud has two missions and Margot has two missions. I made the following graphic to show who is who:
Daisy's was my favorite mission because of how it ended. Hilarious. Margot's second mission was also interesting. Haven't had an angry mob in the series since Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and the mission called Riot. Or maybe it hasn't been that long? One of my favorite moments in Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony was when Luis met Arnaud and the conversation they had. It was very genuine. Writing and acting in a video game doesn't get any better than that. They made Arnaud instantly likable which is not easy to do.

I finished the game and realized I still have drug deals to break up. They are so fun man. There are 25 of them and I already did four. I think they are kind of fun because they are great firefights. What are you doing to keep them interesting?
- Joe
I'd love to get a heavy vehicle like a fire truck or bus and then just ram the crap out of the gathering of drug dealers, but sadly you're stuck with the Cavalcade. One drug deal mission I did where I had to go to Outlook Park was interesting. I saw the gathering of drug dealers under the small bridge. I gained speed, threw a sticky bomb out the window and onto the drug dealer vehicle as I passed by and then drove away. Hit down on the D-pad. Boom. Everyone was on fire and the other vehicle blew up too. I gathered the drugs. Sniping the drug dealers from a high building can also be fun. Be creative! What do you do to make drug deal missions interesting?

I love the Buzzard but I can't fly it well. Is there any way that makes it easier? Help!
- FrodoB041794
Flying the Buzzard in Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony is meant to be a bit of a challenge. Just yesterday I was flying it around and landing on different buildings, getting out and then looking down to snipe police way down below. If I heard a police helicopter coming, I would get out my shotgun filled with explosive shells or I'd get in the chopper to go give a present to the other aerial vehicle.
The best way to use the Buzzard to take down a target is to line up with the path (normally a street) that the enemy is taking and then just zoom along above the pathway, firing as many rockets as possible. If cops in a police helicopter are getting some good shots at you, get your Buzzard steady and wait for the police helicopter to stop moving. Get it in the center of your screen and fire away. It's too bad you can't park your Buzzard in front of your safehouse. I tried and it didn't work. I hope this helps!
